The Google keyboard, also known as GBoard, is a favorite of Android users for the wide variety of functions it offers. It has shortcuts, a built-in translator, customizable themes, multi-language support, and even your own emojis. But without a doubt GBoard’s most useful feature is its clipboard that allows you to copy and paste various portions of text between different applications easily.
Recently, Google improved the GBoard clipboard with a new option that allows you to share your screenshots more easily. And is that the Google keyboard you are now able to save a record of your latest screenshots to your clipboard (as if it were text) so that you can “paste” them into any application where you want to share them. How to save your screenshots to the Google keyboard clipboard
In order for GBoard to start saving your screenshots to the clipboard, you must allow it as follows:
- Open the Google keyboard anywhere text can be entered (like in a WhatsApp chat).
- Playing clipboard option (the notepad icon) at the top of the keyboard.
- If you don’t see this option, press the three horizontal dots to add it to the quick access bar.
- You will see a card that says “Add screenshots to GBoard clipboard for easier pasting.” There press on Continue.
- Finally, grant the app permission to access your photos and multimedia files.
Ready! Thus, GBoard will start suggest you paste the last screenshot you took in certain applications via a button on the top. But if you want to share a capture before the last one, you can access GBoard’s clipboard option to search for it.
In case you have omitted the card that suggests activating this option, you can also activate it whenever you want from the GBoard configuration (the gear icon)> Clipboard> Save Recent Screenshots to Clipboard.
