from 2004 to 20.04 LTS

If Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS was released yesterday, Canonical later published a really interesting infographic in which they review the evolution of “Linux for human beings” from its inception to the present.

Ubuntu from 2004 to 20.04 LTS walks the road from the first Ubuntu release, back in October 2004, including the 32 versions they have released so far, 8 of which are LTS; all the technological projects that they have developed and adopted, the OEM equipment in which Ubuntu is pre-installed with certification, some of the derived distros, although there are more than 100 in total, the number of packages they maintain, the designs of their main versions … Nothing that we do not know and who have been breathing Ubuntu for years, but a curious way to take stock of all this time. We leave you with the infographic.
