This instruction manual details how to find out which processor (more precisely, SoC is a system on a chip) on your Android phone, how many processor cores, and what is its capacity. Of course, you can find the characteristics of your phone on the Internet, but this is not always convenient and, moreover, some smartphone models come in several versions with different CPUs.
Most phones do not have built-in hardware features and the ability to get processor information. However, the simple free apps available on the Play Store will help. It may also be interesting: How to find out which processor is on a computer or laptop .
How to see the model and processor capacity, the number of its cores on Android
There are many free apps available on the Play Store to learn about the features of your Android phone. For the purpose of viewing SoC information, I recommend using AIDA64 or CPU-Z , available for free in the Play Store app store.
To view processor model information in AIDA64:
- Launch the application and go to the "CPU" (Central Processing Unit, CPU).
- In the top line, you will see the item “SoC Model” - this is the model of your processor.
- Here you will also find information on the number of CPU cores, types of these cores, the process and the capacity of the processor (in the paragraph “Sets of instructions”).
In addition, the program displays information about the range of supported frequencies and the current processor frequency: do not be surprised that it is below the maximum - this is good, so the system saves battery power when high performance is not required.
In the CPU-Z application, you will see information about the processor on the first screen, on the SoC tab. The processor model will be displayed at the top, below, in the “Cores” item, the number of cores. It also shows the frequency, process and model of the GPU (graphics accelerator) of your Android phone.
The processor capacity is not displayed, but we can recognize it by an indirect method: go to the “System” tab and pay attention to the “Kernel Architecture” item (kernel architecture). If “aarch64” is indicated there, we have a 64-bit system, and therefore a 64-bit processor.

In addition, I note that it makes sense to look at other tabs in the considered applications: it is possible that you can find useful and interesting information for yourself.
